![]() ![]() This pace of loot drop and inventory management obviously didn't even start at Torchlight 2 and goes way further back than that so why are we still seeing this in games made years later? Off the top of my head, TW3, Borderlands, Destiny, AC Origins/Odyssey, Skyrim, Fallout, so many games use the exact same system of bombarding you with useless gear between the rare occasions you find something worth keeping. Why does it seem every single RPG, loot shooter etc follow the exact same loot drop design of bombarding you worthless weapons and armor forcing you to constantly interrupt gameplay to juggle your inventory and find somewhere to sell? It's a fun game that's held up fairly well and I'm enjoying it but it made me notice and wonder about something I've had Torchlight 2 in my steam backlog for years and started playing it while doing the recent spring cleaning event tasks.
